Most parts include a commercial guarantee against manufacturing faults from the delivery date when this is stated on the product page. The stated period varies by manufacturer — typically 12 to 24 months for mechanical parts, and up to the manufacturer’s stated period for batteries.
What is normally covered
- Manufacturing faults in materials and workmanship.
- Failures in normal use within the guarantee period, including premature bearing play, electronic failures in alternators and starter motors, and leaking water pumps.
What is not normally covered
- Normal wear and tear of service items such as brake pads and wiper blades.
- Damage caused by incorrect fitting, missing or wrong fluids, contamination, or failure of a related part (for example a turbo damaged by a blocked oil feed).
- Accidental damage, misuse, motorsport or commercial overloading, and unauthorised disassembly or alteration.
- Consumables where the fault is outside the guarantee statement on the product page.
Making a claim
Email sales@dealsdirectonline.co.uk with your order number, vehicle registration, a description of the fault and photographs. We may ask for further evidence or arrange inspection. A valid claim may be resolved by repair, replacement or refund, as appropriate.
This commercial guarantee is additional to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
